Migration Tours: The Poetry of Nature
June 13 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm
This spring, celebrate the migratory return of birds and wildlife that live in our meadows, forests and stream valleys. D&R Greenway will lead a unique series of nature walks and poetry readings to introduce you to habitats on D&R Greenway’s preserves and the wild creatures that depend on these protected lands for survival. At the heart of each walk will be a gathering of poets reading from original poems that create a “sense of place.” Bring your own lunch and blanket to stay and picnic on a preserve! Sturdy comfortable shoes recommended; bring sunscreen and insect repellant.
All poetry walks will take place on Wednesdays from 10:30 am – noon. Free. For maps, directions, parking and carpooling information, visit www.drgreenway.org.
